...and whilst we are on the subject of sweet things, check out Eat Pray Love.
Based on the much loved book, it is heart warming story of finding yourself again. Julia Roberts plays Liz who travels the world searching for a purpose and herself after a painful divorce.
Get lost in the beautiful scenery and even more beautiful men - swoon - my personal favourite country? Bali. My personal favourite man? James Franco who plays David.
So the master shoe maker Patrick Cox has decided to turn his creative genius to the world of baked goods. And my lord, I'm glad he did!
Teaming up with master patissier, Frenchman Eric Lanlard, the pair combine delicious recipes with novel twists, such as the Pop Cake above, a sumptious combination of vanilla sponge with a blueberry compote centre with special attention paid to the staff's dress - leather aprons and balck jeans anyone? Well, he is a designer afterall...
Check it out in their Soho shop or have them delivered!
Feeling super tired today after a great day of vintage shopping at a Vintage Fair I am knew to - Bethnal Green's Affordable Vintage Fair.
And it literally was just that - a bargain-fest (you have to hunt, but that's half the fun...!) Not only was it a treasure trove of goodies, but it also had tea and cake, served in vintage cups and saucers, for when you need a much deserved rest from all that hunting.
Will definitely be keeping an ear out for the next.
My favourite festival, Coachella, has come round so quickly, but hasn't failed me with some seiously cool looks, including the fresh new Agy. After her revealing her new religious, clean lifestyle, she was back with her London style, complete with her newly shaven head...
Others in the celeb-fest world that seemed to dominate the festival's headlines included fellow Londoner Daisy Lowe; my fave, Alexa Chung; Katy Perry pulling off some serious racy numbers (not my idea of festival fashion but each to their own...); Kate Bosworth; Beyonce and Jay-Z looking hot.
Here is just a small selection of some of these stylish fellows...
Get those laid back looks ready, festival fever has come round again.
I'm off to Glasto this year (first-timer...) and literally couldn't be more excited and not just for the tunes.
Get inspiration from the coolest festival around, Coachella, (see my next post) and get stock up on those one-off vintage pieces to look fabulous - with, or without your wellies! Well, it is still Britain...
Mix this seasons chilled out tee maxi dresses, like this Warehouse number, £25, with some vintage pieces from ZsuZsi Boutique and get ready to rock this year's hottest festivals.
Deer in the grove of giants - Floris van Breugel (USA)
The lone fir - Thomas Haney (USA)
A nice thing to do on a bleary eyed Sunday afternoon, be blown away by some pretty amazing photography.
In this scenario, we are talking about Veolia Environnement - Wildlife Photography of the Year 2010 at the National History Museum a few weekends ago.
Picked from 43,000 images and embodying the most inspiring and innovative shots of nature at it's best is enough to make you want to buy an SLR and give it a go yourself. Maybe just me.
My favourites above include: deers amongst Giant Sequoias in California's Sequoia National Park; a leopard running the length of a tree at super speed and a haunting image of a lonely Fir tree to demonstrate the effects of extensive logging in the Pacific Northwest.
