Tavi

I know how much attention Tavi Williams (a.k.a. Style Rookie) the 13 yr old blogger is now getting but I heard about her a while ago and am just surprised how she's suddenly a sensation. Everywhere. Of course on LOVE magazine, now Dasha Zhukova's first edition of POP and Vogue have pinned her as part of the new 'Front-Row Faces'. Not bad for a 13 yr old from Chicago.

Being a 'dork' - officially rocks.

Fashion's Night Out - 10th Sept '09

Vogue - fashion's most influential publication - has come up with a fabulous idea to lift all our spirits and to celebrate the feel-good factor of shopping and best news of all: they have all our favourite brands on board!

For one night only, in central London and across the world, high-street stores, boutiques, department stores and leading designer brands will be joining together to offer a special shopping night.

On 10th September is 'Fashion's Night Out' where stores not only across London but in 13 other shopping destinations around the world, will host their own tailored special events with celebrity and designer's appearances and the Vogue team right in the mist of proceeding offering advice and fashion advice to anyone who'll listen!

They've also designed a limited addition Tee for the occasion with all proceedings going to Crisis, the UK charity for the homeless.

Lets all join in the fun!

RoxyHeart £59.95 / Dorothy £29.95 / Geisha £29.95

Mmm...literally as soon as I heard about this little Scottish Company - I. Fell. In. Love. with so many of their gorgeous designs.

Bebaroque was started in July 2007 by Scottish Graduates Mhairi McNicol and Chloe Patience and specialise in hand-embroidered, embellished and screen-printed tights that have already gained recognition by the Scottish Fashion Awards in 2008 as well as being mentioned in Vogue and numerous newspaper publications including The Sunday Times and The Herald - no mean feat for such a young company!

LOVE Magazine

Thursday 19th Feb saw the launch of Love magazine - the new bi-annual fashion glossy from Conde Nast, publishers of Vogue, Tatler and GQ amongst other titles, with Beth Ditto (previously mentioned as the confusing choice to design a capsule collection for Evans) proud of place on the front cover, looking, I have to say, pretty good.

The editor is Katie Grand, best known for her most recent stint as editor of POP and before that working her magic at The Face and Dazed and Confused, LOVE promises to 'keep it real' with Grand promising an end to size zero models and far less emphasis on air-brushing and more on style, fashion and creativity. (At last?)
