Oasis Goes Graduate...

Heather Reid

Sarah Bird

Claire Caudwell

I've always been a believer in supporting Graduate collections, after all, they are the designers with literally no design constraints and little resources so depend a lot of the time on pure creativity resulting in sometimes very interesting and innovative ideas.

Oasis have now realised the same and have introduced three Graduate designs into their new collection. The three designers come in the form of:

Heather Reid: A Graduate of Northumbria University Heather took inspiration from the Royal Botanic Gardens and combined it with her love of print and embellishment to create her design.

Sarah Bird: A Graduate of Bucks New University Sarah used her love of floral photography and traditional cross stitch techniques to create her design for Oasis.

Claire Caudwell: A Graduate of a Nottingham Trent University, Claire was inspired by the colours of Kandinsky and a love of photography to create her exclusive design for Oasis.

All in all a promising start to young careers.

I have been sorely neglecting (most of) my duties in recent weeks - the usual excuses i'm afraid - more time is needed!

So to make up for it I'll let you know what I have been up to, beginning with a little weekend break to Prague as a surprise gift to a friend which ended up being just the most romantic and perfect weekends i've ever had.

It couldn't really help being romantic in Prague with all it's architecture and cute cafes and little cosy restaurants. Helped that the sun shone the whole time too as well as that the time of year meant it wasn't too packed with the usual tourists and rowdy stag parties. Perfect.

Here are some photos of our little getaway...
