William Tempest

It's all about the structure and though I'm still undecided about just how stylish Emma Watson is supposed to be, I do like her (or her stylist's) taste. On a recent outing she was in an up-and-coming London designer, William Tempest's design, which I adore!

Looking forward to Spring/Summer '09 with a daring edge of sheer, contrasted with the structured but modest body - this navy number is cute enough to be feminine but just edgy enough to be cool. I'm keeping my eye on this one...

Coastal Walks and Cornish Cream Tea

Slightly off high fashion and high style for a second, I found out that there is nothing like a walk along the coast to blow those January cobwebs away, as me and my companion found out during the week when we took a trip down to Devon. Not only did it make me think of Summer days, Fun Fairs and ice-cream (Yum!) but it also reminded me it's the simple pleasures in life we need to appreciate even more when the weather's bad/you have a bad day or are waiting for the next pay packet.

On the same day, (as it was Devon and it'd be rude not to), we found a cute cafe in an old restored train carriage where we had Cream Tea... Mmmm.... Nothing quite like it on a chilly, proper British day by the Coast.

It's definitely the simple things...

Let me know your thoughts!

Feathers in Fashion

It all started with Sex and The City and Carrie in a feathery, cream jacket...
I thought my love for feathers after SATC and those that popped up in more than a few designers collections from Autumn/Winter 08-9, including Burberry Prorsum (above), was officially over as soon as the last model strutted off the catwalks, but now that the highstreet has taken on the look and given it it's own spin, (mostly in prints or shawls), I have a whole new love!

How cute is this little number from Topshop!

Printed Feather Tee - £18

BBC Four: Seven Photographs that Changed Fashion

Rue Aubriot: Helmut Newton for French Vogue, Paris, 1975
Guy Bourdin for French Vogue, Paris, 1977
Fred with Tires (Body Shop Series): Herb Ritt, 1984

As previously mentioned after visiting the Annie Leibovitz exhibition, ZsuZsi hearts photography! So what more to ask for than a documentary on Fashion Photography featuring heavyweights Helmut Newton, Herb Ritts, David Bailey and Guy Bourdin on BBC Four last night?

Fashion Photographer Rankin takes a look through the decades to explore the defining moments of fashion photography and looks to recreate seven he thinks 'changed fashion' featuring models Heidi Klum, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Tuuli Shipster, Daphne Guinness and David Gandy.

Including interviews and input from: the man himself David Bailey, Lillian Bassman and now Italian Vogue Editor Franca Sozzani to help describe the changes first hand and to help recreate the iconic images.
It's on again on the 17th January at 9pm on BBC Four - Check it out.

Let me know what you think.

Beat the January blues @ ZsuZsi Boutique!

Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and New Year!

If you are anything like me, there is nothing more depressing though after all the fun and festivities to prepare to face the New Year, get back to work, face the freezing weather and grey skies (and lets face it, slight overindulgence leading to slightly tighter clothing...)

Fear not, as ZsuZsi Boutique is offering 20% OFF selected items throughout January as well as FREE DELIVERY on everything!
That's right, not only do you not have to worry about squeezing into your usual size, you can simply choose to decorate yourself in some of ZsuZsi's gorgeous range of vintage and handmade accessories, so you'll still look as gorgeous as you always do and not even have to worry about your budget! Perfect!

Now, if only we could do something about those grey skies...

Take a peek, we've added lots of new, shiny pieces to add some much needed sparkle to your January!
