I know how much attention Tavi Williams (a.k.a. Style Rookie) the 13 yr old blogger is now getting but I heard about her a while ago and am just surprised how she's suddenly a sensation. Everywhere. Of course on LOVE magazine, now Dasha Zhukova's first edition of POP and Vogue have pinned her as part of the new 'Front-Row Faces'. Not bad for a 13 yr old from Chicago.

Being a 'dork' - officially rocks.

Dasha for POP

After Katie Grand left the helm of POP last year to be editor-in-chief of her new editorial project LOVE, the industry was waiting with bated breath to see who would replace her.

The answer: Dasha Zhukova.

Along with a hand selected new team, including editor-in-chief of French Vogue Carine Roitfeld daughter Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Dasha - already successful in the fashion industry including cult fashion brand Kova & T, and also influential and highly respected in the art world, as founder of The Garage Centre for Contemporary Culture - has the task of re-inventing the magazine as well as the launch of a new website, a new London office, an installation space in Berlin and a partnership with The Saatchi Gallery in London.

The first issue is out on September. Can't wait to see the difference...

LOVE Magazine

Thursday 19th Feb saw the launch of Love magazine - the new bi-annual fashion glossy from Conde Nast, publishers of Vogue, Tatler and GQ amongst other titles, with Beth Ditto (previously mentioned as the confusing choice to design a capsule collection for Evans) proud of place on the front cover, looking, I have to say, pretty good.

The editor is Katie Grand, best known for her most recent stint as editor of POP and before that working her magic at The Face and Dazed and Confused, LOVE promises to 'keep it real' with Grand promising an end to size zero models and far less emphasis on air-brushing and more on style, fashion and creativity. (At last?)
